Day Four - DYWITY

Hello everyone!

Well here we are in DYWITY....we had a long bus journey yesterday ( about 4 hours) with only one mishap. Adam was sick on the bus... But he did recover in time for his tea last night!

The Italians, French, Polish and Turks all travelled with us on the bus, so there was a constant hum of many different languages. The Turks are so cold as it was 90F when they left Neveshir in Turkey.

Whilst travelling North we saw many of the villages and towns with wonderful churches and castles, with lots of lakes and forests. Groups of deer were standing in fields as we passed. This area is very flat, has thick areas of woodland and lots of lakes which are frozen solid at the minute. If you have seen any of the Twilight movies..... Imagine the woodland areas.... It is a bit like that! We are only 50 miles from Russia!

The hotel is very different from Warsaw and is in a park. We are altogether now as the Lithuanians and Bulgarians arrived yesterday too.

Today we go into school to meet the other children. We are having a whole day of different sporting events and we are going to teach the children how to play cricket and also Beetle drive!
Amelia's mam translated it into Polish for us before we left.
Hope you all have a good day in school.

Mrs Thompson

  1. Hi everyone,

I can't believe how cold it is! I'm sure you will be OK with the weather though. It was snowing here yesterday.....again! But it has all disappeared now.

I'm glad that you are all having a good time. Year 5 were lovely yesterday Miss Best. They also had a fantastic time at Ven Bede - where they baked cakes and made puppets.

Can't wait to see some pictures of the country - if it is anything like Latvia and Lithuania (which are just next door) then I can imagine that it is beautiful.

    Missing you all. Have fun!

    Miss Hepworth
