We are sight seeing again in Warsaw today and travelling to Dywitry in Northern Poland this evening. It's supposed to be colder the further North we go and it was -10C in Warsaw yesterday
In the sunshine.... Think it's going to be very cold!!!
The polish people are so friendly and they have made us feel very welcome. The country is amazing ....considering the people have only been independent from Russia for 25 years they are building their country with passion. I can't imagine what it must have been like under communist rule and to have suffered so much during World War 2 with Germany as well....... you can still see evidence of the awful destruction of Warsaw.
The hotel we are staying in is quite modern and was built in the centre of a road so that the communists wouldn't see the magnificent church which was being rebuilt behind it and the view of the people was obstructed.
Let us hope that world leaders continue to strive for peace across the World!
