Well, here we are at the end of our week's adventures in Poland. It has been an amazing experience and we have loved every minute of being with you. We have laughed until we have cried watching you take part and sharing with you all the different experiences.
We have to tell you though... We won't miss having to say a thousand times each day... " Where are your gloves? Where is your hat. Have you got your scarf ? And the saying most often said this week ... KEEP OUT OF THE SNOW!"
Everyone has complimented us on your behaviour and you are a real credit to your families and our school. You have been a big hit with the other teachers. We all need to rest now.... Hope you sleep for hours tonight and let's hope it isn't chicken for tea or for dinner tomorrow or on Monday or Tuesday or.....
Love from Miss Best, Mrs Tait and Mrs Thompson
Xx
PS Have you read Chicken Licken? Have you heard the joke....Why did the chicken cross the road?"

DAY 7 Leaving DYWITY
We were in school this morning for a presentation of drama by the older pupils. It was Snow White and the 7 Dwarves in German and in English. We loved the acting and really enjoyed their play. Then we went to a village school which was very different. There were only 80 pupils in this school.
After lunch we set off for Warsaw.... a 3 hour bus journey!
We are sad to say goodbye to all of our friends. We have met some wonderful people who have shared their lives with us for a very short time and we have a lifetime of memories to take home to England. The Polish are so very proud of their country and they really appreciate their right to be free! I think we could learn a lot from our Polish friends.
All of us have learned something about each other and about ourselves as well.
The school is so different but children are the same everywhere, they want to have fun and they want to learn. Teachers are also the same everywhere, they are passionate about ensuring children learn and they want to teach so that their children have a better future!
We are very grateful to have shared this week with so many children from different countries.

Interesting FACT about Poland
Did you know the tooth fairy comes in Poland? Adam has lost a tooth and she has left ZLOTY under his pillow.
Amazing!!!

Day 6 a memorable evening
We have go had the most amazing evening. Picture the scene.....we went on a coach deep into the Polish forest above Dywtry. It was so white and peaceful, nothing was moving and the snow was very thick.
We arrived at a ranch, where reindeer were roaming about, to be met by a Polish folk band, playing traditional songs. Callum headed straight for the deer and made a friend!
We went inside the ranch and had a really delicious meal before heading outside to the campfire where we sang.
Then...... a horse appeared with a sleigh, the bells were ringing and there were 5 sledges trailing behind. We jumped on ...Callum, Alex, Jonathan and Mrs Thompson on the first, Miss Best, Adam and Mrs Tait on the second. We hung on and squealed (Mrs Thompson and Jonathan were the loudest) as were raced through the thick snow into the forests. Miss Best carried a flaming torch so we could see. It was difficult to keep on but we managed, well......until Mrs Tait, Miss Best and Adam fell off! Unbelievably Miss Best kept hold of the torch, Mrs Tait ended up underneath the sledge, Adam, Miss Best and the sledge behind.... The Italians couldn't stop laughing. Thankfully no one was hurt and the horse carried on its journey. We thought it was Christmas.... It was magical!
We were so cold we went inside for warm drinks and cake..again! Then the dance started and we sang and danced with all our friends from Europe. We loved dancing to the chicken song with Erhan the Turkish teacher.
The Polish school gave us all a goody bag with lots of things to remember our visit before we headed back to our hotel .... to pack!

Day 6 stairs for year 4
Hi everyone,
Yes I have walked up and down a thousand stairs. I have even taken a picture for you as we have to go up and down these stairs every day at least twice as the hotel is cut off from the road. Picture this...... 3 teachers and 4 boys taking suitcases up and down....
My legs are worn out, but I am having a lovely time. Miss you all.
Have a lovely Easter holiday.

DAY 6 SPORTS DAY IN SCHOOL
Hi again,
Woke up this morning and the snow had stopped. We had a lie in until 7 o'clock!!!!
We went into school and they had organised a special day for us and their own pupils, as it is a festival day in Poland.... The first day of Spring.
There were loads of sports people in school....we all went round various activities... We did modern dance, ballet, folk dance and American football. We all liked the American football best...no prizes for guessing this! Johnny liked bashing into the players, Alex liked barging into the dummies, Callum liked trying on the gear... Helmet and shoulder armour. Adam was amazing and joined in the whole morning. Callum had a go at all the activities, Alex just had the time of his life.....and Johnny wasn't very keen to join in but watched and learned loads.
We learned a lot about Polish children this morning - they are very resilient and have a go at everything and....they are amazingly fit, have superb stamina and just love all physical activity. We were surprised at how the Polish boys realise that each sport develops different parts of your body and they take part in them all with enthusiasm.
There were 4 men who were street dancers, break dancers and superb gymnasts. They could spin of their heads for ages.
We had a great time.
Message for Alex mum.... I have changed my trousers mam! Check out the photo.
